In 1940 Lioe Piang Sin openes the piano store "Toko Piano Lioe" in Jakarta/ Petjenongan. Early on the store became established as a specialist shop and workshop for pianos and grand pianos. With 10 Workers from different qualifications like electricity, wood processing and, of course, piano making they could produce and offer niche products like e-organs, billiards tables and cues.
 
In February 1966 Lioe Djoen Lie takes his education as a piano maker at Übel & Leichleiter in Hellbronn / Germany.
 
In 1968 Lioe Djoen Lie began to work as a Journeyman at piano maker master Wagner in Stuttgart / Germany.
 
In 1970 Lioe Djoen Lie began to work as a Journeyman at Fa. May in Berlin / Germany.
 
In 1982 Lioe Djoen Lie began to work as a Journeyman at Fa. Steinway in Hamburg / Germany.
 
In 1985 Lioe Djoen Lie opened the "Klavierwerkstatt Lioe" in Hamburg / Germany.
 
In 1987 Lioe Djoen Lie succesfully did his examination for the master craftsman's diploma for piano makers master at Hamburg chamber of commerce.
 
In 1999 Lioe Djoen Lie moved to Indonesia and continued leading "Toko Piano Lioe" in Jakarta / Indonesia.
